Hi, I’m Holly Auna

This Is My Story

I grew up in a small town in Southern Indiana, swimming in ponds, riding horses and learning to play guitar around the campfire. At 14, I joined a classic rock cover band and spent the next four years playing shows all over the Louisville, KY area. When I was 15, I cut my teeth playing a solo weekly gig at the local Applebees. At 16, I began regular trips to Nashville, TN where I discovered the world of co-writing, and writers' rounds, and my world of music expanded ten-fold.

When it came time to choose a college all I could think about was how to move to Nashville, so I attended Belmont University studying Entertainment Industry Studies/Music Business.  Belmont offers a program called "Belmont East" that allows students to study in New York City. After spending a semester in New York I knew I wanted to live in New York just a little bit longer to soak in everything the city had to offer.  So after college I moved to NYC for a few years and worked at Primary Wave Entertainment, doing digital marketing in the music industry.

It didn't take long for me to realize that I was on the wrong side of the computer and in 2017 I moved back to Nashville and began doing music full time.

Later in 2017 I received my first cut as a songwriter with "There's This Boy" on Tenille Arts' first full length record.

The next few years of my life were full of writing, recording and releasing music. In 2019 I released my acoustic album "Love Should Be So Hard" that debuted at #12 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart. The song "Secrets" from that album to this day remains on the Spotify curated playlist "Take It Slow."

In the summer of 2019 I went on my first tour, "The Test Drive" tour hitting cities all along the east coast all the way up to Boston.

My second tour, "The Spring Fling Tour" was scheduled to start March 25, 2020 and was cancelled due to the pandemic.

When the world shut down I dove into TikTok, making videos in my bedroom, growing my following from the ground up to over one million followers.  In September of 2020 TikTok reached out and asked me to partner with them.

I have continued to release music during the pandemic, primarily recording right here at home. My single "Lonely" released in October of 2020 hit #1 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart.

In September of 2021 I hit one million followers on TikTok. This past year on TikTok has changed my life in ways I couldn't have imagined and I cannot wait to see where the journey goes from here!
